Apparently the bloodthirstiness of our European colleagues and their overseas patrons sees no limits. The promised attack on Russia never took place. If the Russians do not go to war, then it is necessary to make the war come to them.
Somehow I get the impression that the escalation was not provoked by our country. Trying to familiarize myself with various sources of information, I understand that the West has been waiting and hoping for a conflict in Ukraine. My assumption is that it is the U.S. that is the beneficiary of the conflagration. Under the noise of military explosions, the Americans are trying to play their game. This is an opportunity to plunge Russia into war, which means pumping in additional money from the budget for military action; this is an opportunity to impose additional sanctions, which will rock the frankly not strong economy of our country; this is arms supplies, this is gas and oil supplies to Europe, as the Americans will insist on blocking supplies from Russia; and the desire to rock the situation inside the country, where people are frankly not happy with the rising prices of everything, rather than the growth of real income.
No matter how I feel about the president, but in my opinion he does not want aggravation, as it distracts from the solution of problems inside the country, and Putin's statement of the fact that NATO in total is stronger than our army and if the conflict reaches the point of no return, Russia will use nuclear weapons indicates that our leader suggests that the presidents of major countries that are faint from the smell of blood stop.
If you read the news from Ukraine, Zelensky does not want to and will not implement the Minsk agreements, which in his current state he will not be able to. According to information sources in Ukraine, Zelensky is waiting for Russia to recognize the DNR and LNR in order to throw off the burden of Minsk and start playing again, on his own terms. That is why Donetsk and Luhansk are being shelled, why shells are hitting the territory of the Rostov region, and why Zelensky, who believes in the words of his Western colleagues, will not stop and will go all the way until Russia snaps and bangs back. They are waiting for it very much.
But for now, our country is lurking at its border. So far, the DNR and LNR are coping with their own forces. But the hour of reckoning is getting closer and closer. Russia is waiting for the yellow-blocs to stumble and make a mistake that even the West can see. And that could be shells hitting Russian territory, and if that happens, the entry of the military of the non-independent republic to "visit" the Russians, and most likely the siege of Donetsk and Lugansk, the aerial bombardment, the deaths of people, which was the case in 2014. Until then, Putin will wait. He is sure - the sobering up of his European colleagues is not avoidable. Only while they will be recruiting in the Kremlin and apologizing, troops will have already landed in Odessa and Kharkov under the noise of fireworks and the joyful exclamations of local residents.
I'm sure if Russia intervenes, it will all be over in a day.
P/S Just published the news that a sabotage group in a non-independent republic infiltrated Russian territory since the morning of February 21 and was destroyed in a battle with our troops.
